AdBux Membership Exceeds 900,000…

Wednesday, July 30th, 2008

AdBux has now exceeded more than 900,000 members! While this is great news for AdBux, it’s even better news for our members! Not only has our membership base swelled to over 900,000 but, our advertiser base is growing as well. With more advertisers comes the opportunity to earn more points!

In addition, we’ll be launching Video Watch! Video Watch is for those who enjoy watching online videos and video snippets. In short, AdBux members will be presented with videos from around the globe and can earn points watching and rating online videos that interest them. The only requirement is that you select videos that are of interest to you and offer up your rating!

The next great thing on the horizon are coupons! Manufacturer’s will be offering coupons on AdBux later this year! In addition, we’ll be offering a shopping portal which will offer cash back on purchases. With the holidays around the corner, you’ll be shopping online anyway and you might as well earn points back on your purchases.

Please update your payment address for PayPal. Yes, we are now going to do a trial run with using PayPal for point redemption. In order to update your payment address, click on the Profile tab and simply insert your PayPal address.

On your stats page, you will discover that to the right of your stats, we are now displaying news, links to specific offers and of course, the AdBux Blog. Keep yourself updated by simply logging in and checking your stats page daily!

AdBux COO Message…

Saturday, July 26th, 2008

Greetings:

My name is Paul and I am the new COO of AdBux. First, my apologies to ALL members who have waited patiently, as our new management team works in all areas of the site to institute changes, which were needed to keep up with the fast growth of AdBux. I assure each and every member that we are working diligently (seven days a week) to bring AdBux back to the forefront of the PTC industry.

I’m sure many have noticed the daily changes to our homepage, which is now updated with news and daily offer updates. The annoying blinking banner for lotto has been removed. Quite frankly, it was giving me a headache every time I landed on the page so, if it was annoying me, I’m sure it was annoying our users.

You may also have noticed that offers have been updated daily and while they don’t ALL offer 2 or 3 points, they do offer ease of use. In other words, you’ll earn 0.30 points to complete an offer, which may only requires an email address and short registration form, as opposed to a long registration form. Complete enough offers on a daily basis and you could be redeeming 25 points each and every month.

What does a point equal? 1.00 equals ONE DOLLAR, if an offer generates 0.30 then the user has earned 30 cents, if an offer generates 0.50 then the user has earned 50 cents. If an ad generates 0.005 then the user has earned 1/2 a penny. While ads offer an a quick and easy way to earn points, OFFERS generate the highest point redemption available - in the shortest period of time.

This brings me to the subject of payment requests. As many may know, we opened up the payment request gateway a few weeks ago and finally completed auditing those accounts and those redemption requests are now completed. Each time we re-open the payment gateway, please expect a short delay, as we complete audits on user accounts.

The new auditing and anti-fraud security measures (put into place during the past few weeks) will ensure that AdBux remains a fraud-free environment. In fact, our new security measures will streamline the outgoing payment requests for our users.

a. AdBux Offers- We have a team dedicated to scouring NEW offers and we are reviewing each Offer to ensure it’s in compliance. In other words, if an OFFER states it is a FREE Offer but, may not be, we’ll remove that offer or add a disclosure in within its description. A sponsor can change an Offer mid-stream and as such, what was once a FREE Offer may now have a few extra hoops to jump through. We ask that all AdBux members also assist us in policing site-wide offers. If you come upon an offer which is not FREE - send us an email at support@adbux.org and we’ll remove it - if it’s not in compliance with our site guidelines and/or add an updated disclosure.

New members are now required to complete at least two offers per month (for two months). This has been put into affect, as if an established AdBux member is buying referrals, we want to ensure that those referrals will be active and have value to the established AdBux member. No doubt, we are also seeking to add offers for ALL countries. If you are a NEW AdBux member and do not have offers available in your country of origin, you are exempt from the 14-day requirement of completing one FREE offer. However, if an offer is available in your country of origin, you are required to complete at least two offers per month.

Points for completed offers are updated every 48-72 hours. If you do not immediately see points deposited into your account (for offers you’ve completed) don’t be alarmed, as we have to manually upload the prior day’s accounting into AdBux. Once we upload the data into AdBux, it is carried over into your account within 48 to 72 hours.

b. Advertising other Bux Type sites on AdBux- As many members will notice, there is a counter on our homepage, which states how many new members sign-up each and every day on AdBux. As such, those  promoting bux type sites have been flagged due to the simple fact that our security team has uncovered that the submitted ads are timed (daily) in relation to the number of new member sign-ups displaying on the AdBux homepage.

In other words, new and established AdBux members are being re-directed to other bux sites, which may NOT be legitimate sites. We are not in the business of promoting fraudulent bux sites and may reject bux type site ads.

c. Payment Methods- To use PayPal or not to use PayPal - that is the question! PayPal is now accepting PTC sites again, however, how long will it last? Before taking over the reigns at AdBux, funds were frozen by PayPal and could not be accessed. What happened in this case is that members waited months for payment.

However, this being said, we may opt to send payments via PayPal but, may not accept incoming payments from members for referrals, leads and ads through PayPal. We’ll keep all members updated as to if we will use PayPal for point redemption payment requests. We are currently testing this payment process.

We use Alert Pay and will (in some cases) require new members and even established members to confirm their identity. Remember, we have to ensure that every payment that is processed is actually being received by a real person.

During our audit we discovered users who abused the system. In one case, we found a user who resides in Hungary, who thought it was fun to try and “bux” the system. Our new auditing and fraud prevention procedures stopped him in his tracksand he was none to happy. This is my point. I am transforming AdBux into the ONLY trusted PTC site on the net. Yes, it will take time (not months - weeks) to complete this task and I have a full team of dedicated professionals working around the clock to get the task completed.

I will add more updates to this blog entry and I invite all members to leave comments on this entry for review. We are open to any and all suggestions to make AdBux the greatest PTC site on the web!

Thank You,
Paul
COO/AdBux

Completing E-mail Submit Offers…

Friday, July 25th, 2008

What does it take to earn Points? Not much, other than to provide an email address (in most cases). We are receiving emails from AdBux users asking the all important question of “what it takes” to complete an email submit offer.

If an offer pays less than $0.50, then it more than likely requires that only an email address be provided in order to complete that specific offer. If an offer pays one point (and more), the offer may require a completed survey and/or registration form to be completed.

The BEST OFFERS are the offers, which only require that you input a valid email address and to complete a short registration process. Users must always check their email box after completing an offer, as they may be required to click on a verification link to ensure they receive credit for the point(s) associated with that specific email submit offer!

The current Offers are (for the most part) simple and easy. They REQUIRE that ONLY an EMAIL address be provided with a short registration form. If you download a FREE software program and were only required to submit an email address to do so, the software program is FREE. Companies offering FREE download software are simply seeking for users to give their software programs a test-drive (and nothing more). If after downloading a FREE software program you find that you don’t need it - delete it!

Thank You!

Leads, Referrals Payment Notification

Saturday, July 19th, 2008

If a member pulls Referrals and/or Leads from the available pool, the payment for those leads and/or referrals must be processed immediately. Pulling leads/referrals from the pool (and not processing payment) means that other AdBux members do NOT have access to those referrals/leads.

If you pull leads/referrals and do NOT complete the purchase, your account will be suspended until the purchase is completed. The best way to NOT be suspended is to NOT pull leads/referrals from the pool UNLESS you actually plan to process payment for them immediately.

Payment Options…

If you purchase leads/referrals, there are three ways to process payment. The first is by using VISA, MasterCard, Amex or Discover Card. The second is through Alert Pay and the third is via Liberty Reserve.

If you opt to process payment through Alert Pay or Liberty Reserve, be sure you have an established account with either company, as if you don’t, you won’t be able to process payment for up to five days, as both Alert Pay and Liberty Reserve MUST confirm your identity and information. In this case, if you pull leads/referrals from the pool and opt to use Alert Pay and/or Liberty Reserve but, do not have an established account with either company, your account would be suspended as you could NOT process payment within 24 hours.

The best method of payment (if you do not have an established Alert Pay or Liberty Reserve account) is to pay via a major credit card.

Again, do NOT pull leads/referrals from the pool, unless you intend to complete the purchase at time of Check-Out! This is the last warning to members who pull leads/referrals from the pool and who do NOT complete their purchase. If you pull leads/referrals from the pool and do NOT process payment, you  essentially prevent another AdBux member from obtaining leads/referrals.

Thank You!

Pay Bux Rewards X-Change Update…

Wednesday, July 16th, 2008

AdBux’ new PBRX (Pay Bux Rewards X-Change) has been launched! As of today, users who do not prefer to process payment for advertisements, referrals and leads via AlertPay or Liberty Reserve, may do so by using a major credit card such as; VISA, MasterCard, American Express or Discover Card. No doubt, those users who enjoy earning points, via their major credit cards, will be pleased that they may now purchase ads, referrals and leads with a major credit card. Credit card processing is 100% secure through YourPay.com, the leader in (secured) online credit card processors. For those opting to use a major credit for their ads, leads and/or referrals, the charge will appear on user credit card statements as PBRX.

The check-out process on AdBux remains the same as always, however, when checking-out, AdBux users are now presented with three choices for processing payment. In order to process payment using a major credit card, users should click on the logo displaying the VISA, MasterCard, American Express, Discover Card logo bar, as displayed below:

Major Credit Cards

If users prefer to use AlertPay or Liberty Reserve, simply opt to use those processing services by clicking upon their respective logos at check-out. All AdBux members should sign-up for AlertPay, as AlertPay is the service AdBux uses to process point redemption requests for its users.

PBRX has been launched in order to ensure that users have a variety of check-out options. In addition, AdBux will soon be launching a sister-site to AdBux, in which users may opt to redeem their points for cash and/or products such as iPhones, iPods, Mac Air, Gas Cards and much more!

AdBux users will have the convenience of transferring points between AdBux and it’s upcoming sister-site, with ease. If an AdBux user prefers to redeem their points for cash, users may do so, however, if an AdBux user wishes to redeem their points for specific products (and even a combo of cash and products or, just cash), the option will soon be available. Pay Bux Rewards X-Change will launch this Fall (just in time for the holidays). Remember to sign-up for the AdBux Newsletter to keep up with AdBux news, events and announcements!

In the meantime, we hope that AdBux users will take advantage of processing their payments for their ads, referrals and leads through our stateside (secured) online merchant processing option.

Important News - AdBux Offers Notification

Monday, July 14th, 2008

The BIG question many newcomers have of AdBux is which is the fastest way to accumulate points?  No doubt, ads are fast and easy to view, however, advertiser OFFERS is where points can be accumulated quickly.

During the past ten days, AdBux programmers have been hard at work refining AdBux “Browse Offers” page.

We have made a number of changes, which AdBux users will find beneficial…

We have defaulted the Browse Offers search to NEWEST OFFERS  as opposed to sorting results by “Point Value” (Worth). This new search default means that users are presented with the latest OFFERS within the first two pages of the “Browse Offers” pages, as opposed to having to search offers page by page by page.

Next, we have four AdBux staff members dedicated to scouring ALL offers, based upon specific criteria such as; point value, effort involved in completing the offer and the reputation of the company providing the offer to AdBux Users. This is why the search default for our “Browse Offers” page has been changed to “NEWEST OFFERS”. In addition, the AdBux homepage is updated regularly with Brand New Offers (which have just been loaded into the system).

Remember to check the AdBux homepage for updated offers, as once the quota is achieved for those offers, they can be discontinued (unless renewed) by the advertiser. The popular offers are always the daily offers, which users will find within the first two pages of the “Browse Offers” page.

As always, if you have any questions, please, send us an email at support@adbux.org

Important Notice Concerning Referral and Ad Payments..

Friday, July 11th, 2008

For NEW Members…We are receiving email notifications from NEW members who are concerned that AdBux has not yet processed their order for referrals and/or ads. We do not send a payment request via email to request payment.

Members must process payment at the time of placing their order…

Members must process payment at time of check-out for an order to be deemed completed and processed. We will remove ad and referral orders within 24 hours of non-receipt of payment in order to release ad space and referrals to Premium Members waiting in the queue. Non-payment of ads and referrals will result in termination of account, as per AdBux Terms of Service. Accounts, which are temporarily suspended, will be re-activated upon receipt of payment.

If you have not yet paid for your referrals (or ad space), please, login to your account and process payment through AlertPay. Next week, we’ll be launching our Pay Bux Rewards X-Change (stateside merchant processing account), which will streamline the check-out process. In the meantime, please, use AlertPay to process your payment.

If you’re having problems processing payments, please, send an email to Support@AdBux.org

Thank You!
